Zuccado

Maya created the “Zuccado” typeface at the Paris School of Visual Arts in 2012, inspired by the modular stencil “Archetype Albers” created by Josef Albers at the Bauhaus in the 1920’s.

As the name suggests, the “Zuccado” typeface involves combinations of fruits and vegetables including the zucchini and avocado. Of interest are the differences in colour and contour compared to the original typeface by Albers due to the irregularities of the fruits and vegetables.
