About
After studying biology and chemistry at the University of Toronto, Maya decided to change her course of studies and completed her undergraduate degree in art history and studio art at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She later pursued her graduate degree in digital and graphic design at the Paris School of Visual Arts in Paris, France, and interned at the trend forecasting studio of Lidewij Edelkoort.
Maya has built a career in customer experience and innovation consulting at award winning agencies including Landor Associates, Watt International, SapientRazorfish, Publicis Sapient and GlueIQ. She specializes in customer journey planning, service design, product management, and brand strategy development. Maya has also taught UX research methods classes throughout the Miami Ad School’s ‘Intro to UX Design’ bootcamp in Toronto since 2018.
Past clients have spanned the range of industries from automotive, financial services and retail to CPG and fashion. Clients have included Samsung, McDonald’s, Citibank and Visa. For an extended list, please see Clients.
Maya has maintained her fine art studio practice and continues to draw and paint. Her artwork has been inspired by a range of movements including the Automatistes in Quebec, Art Nouveau and French Academic Art. She enjoys exploring colour, form, gesture and texture in figurative and abstract art.
